WHOA SLIDESHOW!

Hey look a slideshow! The following 10 images are images I chose by googling "graphic design". These are not my images, just some good design I found online. 

Comic Sans, how I loathe thee..

It's surprising how many people in the design community still use such inappropriate fonts for the work that they do. Even worse is when instructors use hideous fonts for their handout's or syllabus. And I know what you might be thinking... they don't know any better, they aren't designers... Well I am looking at an assignment sheet from one of my design related classes with Comic Sans spilled all over it. 

After viewing that assignment sheet, I decided to go talk to my good friend The Internet, and see if I was just being crazy... Or if this font was as bad as I believed it to be. And what do you know... the first link pulled up when googling Comic Sans will lead you here.

I think I remember reading a quote a while ago: Friends don't let friends use Comic Sans.

Crayon Physics Deluxe

I found out about an amazing new game today, "Crayon Physics Deluxe". It's a puzzle game with a really beautiful style to it.... and if you're fortunate enough to own a Cintiq tablet, you can really take advantage of it's features. Seems to me like this is the kind of thing that the Nintendo DS is perfect for. I hope to see it ported over at some point.

The new 17-inch Macbook Pro

I had no interest in Macintosh Computers of any kind... That is until my first class at EdCC in the "MacLab". And those were old Mac Minis with CS2 installed. They didn't quite have the power to handel all of those programs. But despite that, they still made an impression on me and made me a "believer". Fast forward to today with the brand new iMacs and CS3, and I've become obsessed.

A new Macbook Pro is in my future... I just don't know when excatly. Anyone want to help me out with the money? >.>
